Our Curriculum

Intent

Developing a love of life and learning in a caring, Christian Community

Our aim is to give all of our children the cultural capital (life experiences), knowledge and transferable skills that they need to succeed in life, and to give them social parity with their peers. We aim to empower our pupils and enable them to flourish.

Our curriculum was planned to suit the needs of the children at this school following extensive consultation with staff, pupils and governors.

Informed by our Christian values the school is committed to providing a safe, stimulating environment where everyone is valued equally and encouraged to develop their full potential. As a church school the precepts of Christian education and our school values, reviewed in collaboration with all stakeholders, remain at our core. The quote from Jesus’ teachings ‘Do Unto Others as you would have them do to you’ (Matthew 7:12) informs our primary value of respect and underpins our entire school
ethos. As our children say...

"Together, we are a family; learning to love and loving to learn."

Our values are at the heart of all we do and apply to all members of the school community. We stress the importance of wellbeing for our whole community; pupils, staff, parents and governors.
